Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Now Available For Purchase In The UK

Since the original Samsung Galaxy Note was launched back in 2011, the South Korean manufacturer’s phablet range has gained quite a reputation and remains a market leader in the phablet niche with virtually zero competition. It paved the way for last year’s Galaxy Note 2, which was also a successful handset but the Galaxy Note range also includes a number of impressive full sized tablets.

A new addition to the Galaxy Note tablet range was recently announced and showcased at MWC in Barcelona back in February. More than a month since the event, the device has now been made available for purchase in the UK, Android Geeks reports. The device will initially be made available from Samsung’s flagship store in London, with other retailers set to follow suit in the coming weeks.

Like many other Galaxy Note products, the Galaxy Note 8 will be offered in a number of options based on colours, internal storage and connectivity options. Pricing will start at £339 for the Wi-Fi only model with 16 GB internal storage, meaning it is likely to be one of the biggest rivals to Apple’s iPad Mini. The device is packed with features, so you certainly get a lot for your money. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has an 8 inch display as the name suggests, and also includes a 5 megapixel camera, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and 16 GB or 32 GB internal storage depending on the model. However, both come with a microSD slot which can accommodate a memory card of up to 64 GB. Of course, like every other Galaxy Note product, it also includes the range’s trademark S-Pen stylus. The operating system of choice is Android 4.1.2 jellybean, and packs ample processing power thanks to a 1.6 GHz quad core Cortex A9 CPU.

While the Wi-Fi only models are likely to be the most popular on account of their lower price tags, the device comes with 3G connectivity or 4G connectivity (market dependant), meaning that you can sign up for a pay monthly contract, with several networks likely to offer deals in the coming weeks.

We will be sure to keep you posted when we hear of any more details regarding the pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
